“Pansy Pixie”
by Sue Pendleton of
Bluebeary Treasures
Most
of Sue's bear designs have a one-piece head, but Pansy Pixy was designed
with a separate muzzle, which means it is crocheted and then sewn to the
face. The bear is about 3 inches tall when crocheted from punch thread,
size 12 perle cotton, or size 30 crochet thread with a size 10 hook.
However, you may use other threads and hook sizes to make her in
different sizes. Pansy is 5-way jointed, with a cotter pin/disk-jointed
head and thread-jointed limbs.
The pattern for the fairy costume to fit your miniature bear is
included. The outfit consists of the pansy flower hat, the little dress,
the pixy dust bag, and of course the wings. The outfit is crocheted with
size 12 perle cotton or size 30 crochet thread, with a size 10 hook.
The
pattern is very detailed. The booklet contains 13 pages of instructions
and information, including how to joint the head and limbs,
attach the eyes, and embroider the features. Color photos of the
finished bear are included.
This
pattern is available by PDF download only.
