“Kewtie Pie Doll Pattern”
by Sue Pendleton of
Bluebeary Treasures

Crochet
this miniature Kewpie-like doll for your collection, to sell, or as a
gift. Kewtie Pie has a cotter pin and disk neck joint, and thread-jointed
arms. Her little plump baby legs are stationary, for that QP look.
Crocheted from two strands of embroidery punch thread held together and a
size 8 hook, she is approximately 5 inches tall. The punch thread is
perfect for making Kewtie Pie, because it gives the skin a softer look.
You may, however, use other threads of your choice with the appropriate
size of hook.
Kewtie Pie's fairy outfit is included in the pattern. It is made from size
12 perle cotton, and is removable. It consists of sundress, panties,
flower hat, fairy dust bag, and wings. Her hair is punch thread that is
sewn in loops to the head, then the loops are cut and brushed.
There are 14 pages in the pattern booklet. The pattern is clearly written
with lots of detail. It tells you how to joint the doll, attach the eyes,
add the hair, etc. The pattern includes color photos of the finished doll.

pattern is available by PDF download only.
